Opinion poll: Small businesses struggling with rising healthcare costs, support bipartisan policy solutions

Small businesses are rebounding from issues stemming from the pandemic, but rising healthcare costs are hurting their bottom lines and limiting their growth. New opinion polling reveals that small business owners strongly support bipartisan policy solutions that lower costs by setting price caps, increasing transparency and promoting competition in the healthcare industry.

Small Business Majority Testifies in Support of Closing Corporate Loopholes in Tax Code

On January 17, Small Business Majority Founder and CEO John Arensmeyer testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Budget at a hearing on closing corporate loopholes that reward offshoring jobs and profits in the tax code. He shared comments on initiatives to bring parity to the tax code and recover lost revenue that would greatly support the small business community.

Small Business Majority joins amicus brief in Corner Post, Inc., vs Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve

On December 20, Small Business Majority joined the American Sustainable Business Network, Businesses for Conservation and Climate Action, Main Street Alliance and the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce in filing an amicus brief before the United States Supreme Court. The brief argues that efforts to enable any business to circumvent regulatory statute of limitations would create uncertainty and confusion for businesses seeking to remain in compliance with the law.

Small Business Majority joins amicus brief in Zurawski v. Texas

On November 20, Small Business Majority filed an amicus brief alongside nearly 40 companies and individuals doing business in Texas before the Texas Supreme Court in the case of Zurawski v. Texas. The brief argues that the state's restrictive abortion bans are bad for the business community and are having a negative impact on the state’s economy—including an estimated $14.5 billion in lost revenue each year.
