Latino business owner and leader lifts his community through food

Edwin Sandoval, the proud owner of Xatrucho Concepts, moved from Honduras to the Colorado Springs area when he was only 10 years old. At age 14, he began working at restaurants, where he quickly realized his potential and passion for the food industry. He pursued a degree in culinary arts and continued to work at various high-scale restaurants until he had the gumption to start a business of his own.

Small Business Majority submits recommendations concerning benefits rules of Colorado's FAMLI program

On August 5, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda submitted recommendations to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), concerning the proposed benefits rules of the Paid Family Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program. FAMLI will give small businesses a competitive advantage over large corporations, but only when CDLE considers the challenges and circumstances surrounding the small business ecosystem.

Small Business Majority testifies in support of Health Care Sharing Consumer Protections

On April 1, Small Business Majority's Colorado Director Lindsey Vigoda testified before the House Health and Insurance Committee on legislation that requiring Health Care Sharing Arrangements (HCSAs) to submit basic information to the Colorado Division of Insurance about how they operate, which will provide greater transparency for all Coloradans and entrepreneurs who may wish to sign up for HCSAs.
